Ricky Gervais is a funny SOB – searching for something to watch, I decided to give “Extras” a shot on HBO on demand, and it’s got the same sort of humor as “The Office.” It’s on DVD too - check it out if you get a chance – He plays an extra on a different movie set in each episode.

For example, the second episode has Ben Stiller (as himself) directing a movie about some war-torn Eastern European country, and “one man’s story of survival” and he’s the most over the top a-hole – hilarious, but the best part, is when Andy (Gervais) stands up for his friend (another extra) who Stiller has just chastised, and the following exchange takes place:

Ben Stiller: And who are you?
Andy Millman: Nobody.
Ben Stiller: What?
Andy Millman: Nobody.
Ben Stiller: Exactly. And who am I?
Andy Millman: Either Starsky or Hutch, I can never remember.
Ben Stiller: Was that supposed to be funny?
Andy Millman: You tell me, you were in it.

Absolutely brilliant.
